This is the new Richard Mille RM056. It is a split-seconds chronograph with tourbillon with a case built entirely out of sapphire. The whole thing. In fact, this three piece case is actually milled from one solid block of sapphire, cut to allow for the movement placement and then reassembled as this watch. Sapphire is indeed highly scratch-resistant, though somewhat brittle, so in theory, this watch could break if dropped.

Still, it features just an absolutely breathtaking movement – the lightest split-chrono tourbillon movement in the world – and an incredible look.

Only five RM56′s will be made. The cost? Yup, $1.65 million. (Via…)

The latest news out of Milan – Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans announce its latest advertising campaign featuring Rihanna. Photographed in Dublin by established fashion photographers Mert & Marcus Piggott, the global campaign arrives in conjunction with both label’s Spring/Summer 2012 collections. Having already worked with the Armani on its Fall 2011 campaign, Rihanna this time trades in her blonde pixie-cut in exchange for a brunette appeal. The 2013 PORSCHE BOXSTER Unveiled…

Porsche may have just unveiled its new 2012 911 Carrera Cabriolet at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this week, but the German automaker is wasting no time before showing off its next bit of overhauled hotness, the 2013 Boxster. The mid-engine roadster won’t make its official debut until the Geneva Motor Show in March, but we’ve been given some preliminary details ahead of the new Box’s primetime unveiling.

Much like the 911, the new Boxster’s design is more evolution than revolution, and that’s a-okay with us. The redesigned roadster is extremely handsome, and most of us on the Autoblog staff think it’s the best-looking Boxster yet. We like the revised headlamps and more svelte running lamp/air intake setup, and the wider stance and longer wheelbase are nicely masked in the new design. The 2013 Boxster’s all-aluminum skin also helps the new model shed a few pounds compared to its predecessor, which will not only make it that much more engaging out on the road, but also improve fuel economy.

But really, the Boxster is all about performance, and under the hood behind the seats are two flat-six engines with direct injection, thermal management and start/stop functionality. The base Boxster uses a 2.7-liter flat six, good for 265 horsepower (10 hp more than its predecessor) while the Boxster S is powered by a 3.4-liter six that produces 315 hp (an increase of 5 hp versus the 2012 model). The standard Boxster will run to 60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds with the seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, while the Boxster S will do the same jaunt in just 4.7 seconds. A six-speed manual gearbox (what, no seven-speed?) is also available with either engine. Porsche will offer a Sport Chrono package that further enhances performance, adding things like dynamic transmission mounts and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV).

Look for the 2013 Boxster to hit United States showrooms this summer, priced from $49,500 for the base car or $60,900 for the Boxster S (not including $950 for destination). (Via…)

Ever been so distracted by a colleague or friends wayward protruding nasal hairs that you can’t take it anymore?! Neither had I, but a new web service in Japan now lets you anonymously notify anyone of their distracting rogue olfactory hairs just in case.

The service named Chololi lets anyone send a pre written notification to the offending hairy culprit anonymously via their email. “For all you people who are thoughtful and in a difficult position, we give you Chololi the deputy service for notification about nostril hairs” explains the site. The service even lets you notify the recipient of the message which side the follicles were popping out of, the number of hairs and choose the tone with which you want the message to be sent ranging from mild to scornful.

For those unsure the site also contains a warning to those who don’t have a sense of humor, “take care not to use this service against people who cannot understand jokes”. A counter at the top of the site announces the number of embarrassing moments avoided with it’s “Saved nose hair” counter. There is a link to nasal care advice, which unfortunately at time of writing was down, but it would be nice if this turned out to be an amusing marketing ploy by a snout related product.

Snoop Dogg Arrested In Texas For Weed

Snoop’s tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca — a small town in West Texas where Willie Nelson was popped for weed back in 2010.
The border patrol ran a standard inspection of the bus with the dog … when the animal alerted the agents to a possible hit in a waste basket in the back of the vehicle.

The agents claim they found a red prescription bottle with several joints inside. The bottle contained under a half-ounce of weed.
Cops say Snoop admitted the dope belonged to him. Snoop has a prescription for cannabis in California, but law enforcement tells us, there is a zero tolerance policy for weed in Texas … regardless of his status in other states.

Snoop was issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession and released.

GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul has commented on the emotional testimony of a man who explained how Dr. Paul came to his rescue when know one else would purely because his wife was white and he was black.

The video, released this week not by the Paul campaign but by independent supporters, features James Williams explaining how close to forty years ago Ron Paul was the only physician who would help him when his pregnant wife became sick.

Mr Williams of Matagorda County, Texas, says he believes no one would come to his aid and deliver the couple’s child “because of the difference, me being black and her being white”.

Mr Williams then explains how Ron Paul stepped in and took care of his wife and even dealt with the medical expenses after the baby was tragically stillborn.

I may lose a few friends from supporting RON PAUL but I’m tired of the liars that we call politicians.
