THE WINNER IS….. Javier Colon wins Season 1 of The Voice

Tonight, NBC’s ratings bonanza, The Voice Season 1 came to an end. America has voted, and the winner is….. Javier Colon, coached by Maroon 5 singer Adam Levin, winner of $100,000 and a recording contract with Universal Republic.
After weeks of auditions, battles and performances, tonight’s vote came down to the top 2, Javier Colon & Dia Frampton. The votes were so close that the top 2 were within 2% of each other.
In the end, those numbers were not indicative of the win–Javier Colon, the frontrunner since the beginning, took the title of Season 1 winner of The Voice.
NBC’s highest rated series of 2011 so far, will return with all the same judges, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levin, Cee Lo Green, & Blake Shelton for Season 2 Sunday, February 5th following NBC’s telecast of Super Bowl XLVI.
