The Jordan Brand is re-releasing a Black/Gold version of the Nike Air Jordan 1 High that dates back to 1985 – the year the first Jordan 1 released. Originally released in November 1997 and immortalized by Denzel Washington’s Jake Shuttlesworth character in Spike Lee‘s 1998 NY basketball classic flick He Got Game, Jordan brings back this White/Black/True Red colorway just in time for the Spring. These J’s are droppin’ this Saturday, March 16th for $170.
Word on the street has it that The Air Jordan III ’88 will be coming to you in the super clean White/Cement colorway in 2013. Arguably the the most popular Air Jordan ever, the III’s started pushing the boundaries with it’s cement print and visible Air unit in the midsole. The ’88 retro version, seen above, comes complete with Nike Air on the heel. No word on release date yet, but we’ll find out soon enough. Start making those lines Hypebeasts!
